
Dr. Dennis Thibeault
Dr. Dennis Thibeault is a 1994 graduate of Michigan State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. He is a native of Massachusetts who worked previously in both Michigan and Vermont prior to settling in Connecticut.
He is the founder of Green Valley Veterinary Services, a large animal practice in Eastern Connecticut, which he established in 2008. Based in Chaplin, Connecticut Green Valley Veterinary Services provides mobile veterinary care for cattle, horses, goats, sheep, llamas, alpacas and pigs. Dr. Thibeault is a member of numerous local and national professional organizations. He often speaks at local agricultural events such as the Connecticut Sheep Breeders Association Blue Ribbon Forum, and has given numerous presentations on behalf of the CTSART program. In 2007 he received certification in Technical Large Animal Emergency Rescue (TLAER), a training program originated at Clemson University.
Since 2007, Dr. Thibeault has served as Co-Chairman of Preparedness Region 4's Emergency Support Function 11 (ESF 11) for the Region 4, Regional Emergency Planning Team (REPT). ESF 11 is concerned with matters of animal protection in disasters. The Region 4 REPT coordinates disaster planning and collaboration among the 41 municipalities represented by Preparedness Region 4. He leads the Region 4 Animal Response Team which is the operational arm of ESF 11 in Region 4.
Dr. Thibeault is married and has one young daughter. His four legged family includes one horse, one ox, one cow, one llama, two miniature donkeys, three sheep, one dog, and one cat.
